
The last few weeks I have learned a lot about self love and self care. I had been trying to do everything from work to the blog to having a social life that I was starting to feel exhausted both physically and emotionally. Especially in SF, it’s often hard to prioritize yourself when there are so many things to do! But I am glad I took a break so I can continue putting out top notch content for you. One way I practice self love is indulging myself in some sweet treats! Last week, I bought myself an ice cream machine!! I couldn’t wait to break it out, so I made this batch of lavender ice cream for myself. Home churned ice cream is my favorite new discovery. It also surprisingly has very few ingredients. This lavender ice cream recipe includes 5 ingredients – whole milk, heavy cream, fresh culinary lavender, sugar, and vanilla. Mix all these ingredients together and heat them over low heat until the mixture warms up. Let the mixture stand for 20 minutes to steep so the lavender flavor is distributed evenly.
